Stage Monitor Graphics
When Mark Devlin was approached once again by Veteran tour video director
Jonathan Beswick about creating content
for four boys from Chicago called "Fall Out Boy" he came with
a challenge that only comes from a youthfull spirit.
That challenge was to create a total of 5 videos for a large format
LED stage monitor, in only 3 weeks. But even that was not a challenge
enough from one of the music indusries hotest bands. Because their LED
wall also had the capability of breaking into 4 pieces which each move
independently up, down, left and right.
Mark, not only rose to the challenge, but for the song "Arms Race"
he also choreographed the monitor to split and reassemble into 1 monitor,
2 monitors, 3 monitors and 4 monitors solutions all within the same
song.
Mark, not only rose to the challenge, but just for fun threw in one
more video for free within those same three weeks. Fall Out Boy loved
the "Video Wall" solution so much that they decided to add
a new song to their set and used this idea for the song "Grand
Theft Autumn / Where Is Your Boy "
The quick turnover of the project, combined with band's hectic schelue
prevented any of the band members to review any of the videos before
the tour rehearsals only days before the tour began.
"The band loves them.
They are happier than a pig in S#!T" exclaimed
stage director Jonathan Bezwick after presenting
Mark's work to the band.
