Only 5 hours after a 22 hour push to complete the Sobe Life Water project, Mark Devlin was called back into Digital Domain to design and present a solution to a difficault type problem for the end of 3 Chevrolet Malibu spots. The problem was how to make chrome animated type read over a black and white high contrast background.

The artists at Digital Domain had been working several days to find an acceptable solution, but the agency reject each attempt.

With no sleep and only an hour and half to prepare, Mark presented six different solutions. Five of these solutions where meant to show the client everything that would not work. Within minutes, Mark convinced 6 agency creatives to all agree that a simple black glow combined with a slight drop shadow placed behind was the best solution. Within 30 minutes six happy clients were on thier way out for dinner and Digital Domain executive producer, Michael Crapster was asking Mark "You've done this before. Haven't you?"
